In Asia, gender equality is widely recognized as a fundamental right of citizenship. In many countries throughout the region, constitutions and legal statutes stand to guarantee and protect women’s rights. Despite these advances, discrimination throughout the region remains a common practice. Vital Voices believes that women can and must play a key role in the political, economic and social progress of Asia. We support emerging and established Asian women leaders to bring their voices to the table and promote positive change throughout the region.
